In light of Civil Aviation Ministry policy of modernizing the fleet of the national carrier, EGYPTAIR received the twelfth and last of the contracted 12
Airbus 220-300 aircraft.
The new delivered aircraft registered SU-GFI, arrived at Cairo International Airport today to join the national air carrier fleet .

A220-300 aircraft offers 140-seat capacity, internet services on board, and superior comfort to customers, as it is characterized by its large windows in every row of seats that provides more natural light for each passenger and full-color LED lighting also enhances the occupants' well-being.
Pilot Rushdi Zakaria, EGYPTAIR Holding Chairman & CEO, stated that,
It is expected that the Egyptian Air fleet in service the next 20 years is to reach two and a half times (2.5) its current size for the wide body and single-aisle aircraft.
Pilot Amr Abu El-Enein, EGYPTAIR Airlines Chairman & CEO, stated that EGYPTAIR would be the first airline to operate the two Airbus A320-NEO and A220-300 models together in its fleet within the Middle East and Africa Regions.
