Dr Safwat El Aalem, professor of the Political Mass Media, said that lighting the Pyramids in colors of the Russian and French flags is a sign of gratitude for both the two countries.
This initiative interprets feelings of the Egyptian people who eulogized victims of the ill-fated Russian airliner in flags and flowers in front of the embassy of Russian Federation days earlier.
Egyptian nationals pigmented their faces in colors of the French standard, then headed to the French embassy to submit condolence.
Dr Aalem added in statements, that Egypt solidarity with France bases on its staunch stances to support Egypt in the recent period.
