" Zazou ":Promotional package to attract Arab tourists during summer

Egypt’s Tourism Minister Hisham Zazou said that a new promotional program will kick off for Arab tourists next summer.

In a bid to bring back tourism to its previous levels after being dramatically affected by political turmoil during the past three years, the ministry developed a special program with competitive prices for Arab countries, Zaazou said.

Speaking to an Arab media delegation in Alexandria, the minister said the program would include concerts and parties in which famous singers and figures would take part.

Zazou expressed determination to reenergize touristic activities and maximize the benefits of Egyptian ancient sites.

The minister announced scheduled visits to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and UAE as part of the program.

The Arab countries contribute with 20 percent of tourists coming to Egypt every year, the minister said, adding 72 percent of tourists are coming from foreign countries.
