“Spirit to Serve the Community” is a Marriott Worldwide initiative that is an essential component of the Marriott International core values. Being a support to the community you are doing business at, is a fundamental task for all Marriott properties across the globe. Be it an environmental related initiative, a charity support or a national project that would positively reflect on the welfare of the society, this is the goal to achieve.
The Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino, a leading Marriott flagship in the Middle East, has been a pioneer in this domain. Since the inception of the Children Cancer Hospital 57357, The Cairo Marriott Hotel has been a great and continuous support to the hospital on both the financial and social levels.
In this regards, and in celebration of the Holy month of Ramadan, the hotel hosted an iftar party for the children and their families at Empress Lounge. More than 120 of the children and their parents were received by Richard Zeolla, General Manager of the hotel among other Hotel Management team including Ghada Abdel Khalek Director of Marketing Communications, Maissa Bahnasy, General Manager Administrative Assistant, and Mosaad Hussein, e-commerce Manager.
Children were thrilled by the charming Muppet show and DJ music that entertained them throughout the event.
At the end of the celebration, Richard Zeolla presented to Dr. Hanaa Farid, Fundraising Department Strategic Manager of the hospital a cheque with the amount of L.E. 57357.00 as a contribution from the Cairo Marriott Hotel Associates to support the hospital operations and treatment of children with cancer.
