The International Air Transport Association "IATA" expects international air companies to lose 5 billion dollars in 2009.
The new estimation issued by "IATA" on air companies' losses is lower than the previous estimation expected in September and which reaches 5.2 billion dollars. The main reason for that decline is the repaid reduction in fuel prices.
Director General of "IATA" Govanni Psniani said that expectations are not promising with the continuation of the chronic crisis afflicting industry in 2009 with total losses of 2.5 billion dollars.
"We are facing the worst circumstances concerning revenues 50 years ago" told Psniani.
Director General of "IATA" referred that air sterevodin fell by 7.9% in October in the fifth consecutive monthly decline and that all indicators reveal that circumstances continue to deteriorate with the global economic recession.
"Air companies in North America are expected to be the only ones that could achieve Govanni Psniani.
It is worth motioning that the International Air Transport Association based its expectations for next year costs 60 dollars per barrel.
